Mosquito Fire

Hi boaters, today is the 13th of September, and as most of you know a fire broke out at Oxbow on the Middle Fork American on Wednesday evening. Rod & I LIVE in Georgetown. By Thursdays afternoon the Mandatory Evacuation area was in place and our home falls within that area. Most of you know Rod’s background as a wildland fire pilot, which has some privileges. So we are still in our house and ready to go if the fire changes directions. We are currently safe and ready to go if needed. Because of this and the smoke, along with the fact that Coloma & Lotus are on the edge of the Evacuation Warning areas. The shuttle service is suspended thru Sept 21. We cross our fingers that the firefighters on the ground & in the air are able to get a handle on this fire soon.

A NOTE FROM MARSHALL GOLD PARK:
We wanted to let you know that due to the evacuation warning for the Coloma area and the heavy smoke, the state park is currently CLOSED until further notice. We are monitoring updates closely and will let you know as soon as we have any changes.
Everyone, please stay safe!
